What Makes Our Curriculum Special?

Our process

Observe. Record. Assess. Share.

We take a personalized approach to teaching and assessment, ensuring each child’s progress is thoughtfully monitored and shared

Observe

Teachers track each child’s daily growth in areas like cognition, language, and physical development.

Record

Using classroom iPads, teachers document observations, photos, and videos in individualized Child Portfolios.

Assess

Developmental assessments are completed three times a year to evaluate progress and identify opportunities for growth.

Share

Parent-teacher conferences are held twice a year to review portfolios, discuss achievements, and set collaborative goals for home and school.

learning experience plan

Learning Through Play

Children learn best through hands-on experiences that spark their curiosity and creativity. Our teachers design Learning Experience Plans for each classroom, focusing on themes and activities that promote well-rounded development.

Plans include:

  • Circle Time: Songs, greetings, and interactive storytelling
  • Sensory Exploration: Engaging activities that stimulate touch, sight, sound, and smell
  • Art Projects: Opportunities to express creativity through drawing, painting, and crafts
  • Science Experiments: Simple, hands-on investigations that introduce scientific concepts
  • Music & Movement: Singing, dancing, and games that encourage rhythm and coordination
  • Gross Motor Games: Activities like obstacle courses, ball play, and climbing to develop physical skills
  • Dramatic Play: Role-playing scenarios that foster imagination and social interaction

enrichment

A Classroom Full of Discovery

At Town & Country, we know that every day is an opportunity to inspire wonder and growth. Through purposeful play, hands-on activities, and personalized learning, your child will develop the confidence and skills they need to achieve their personal best in an environment filled with joy and discovery.

Exercise with Here We Move®:

Children stay active every day with activities that promote physical self-confidence and teamwork. From infants practicing crawling to preschoolers dancing or riding tricycles, movement is integrated into all stages of growth. Teachers use props like bean bags, hula-hoops, and musical instruments to create engaging group exercises.

Nutrition with Here We Thrive®:

Healthy snacks are an essential part of every day. We collaborate with a certified nutritionist to create menus featuring fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and dairy. Classroom activities also teach children about where food comes from, how it tastes, and why it’s important to eat healthily.

Cultural Experiences:

Throughout the year, children participate in in-house cultural presentations, broadening their understanding of the world around them.

Optional Enrichment Classes*

We also offer additional programs (with a small fee) to enrich your child’s experience:

Soccer: Focuses on balance, coordination, and teamwork in a non-competitive environment.

JumpBunch: Introduces children to new physical activities every week, enhancing agility and strength.

Martial Arts: Builds self-confidence and discipline while teaching practical skills in a safe, fun environment.
